The Moomins are fictional characters within a collection of nine books created by Finnish author Tove Jansson in 1945. They are very similar to Winnie the Pooh. They’re a happy family of round and white trolls with enormous snouts, giving them a strong resemblance to a hippopotamus. The Moomin family and friends reside in Moominhouse in Moominvalley and go on many adventures with one another to far-off lands.
Moomins have a special place in Finnish hearts. As every story contains a grain of truth, we believe that at its best, a Nordic childhood is like living in Moominvalley, exploring one’s surroundings with boundless curiosity. Moomins have values and we, at Reima, highly admire Tove Jansson’s artwork. Together with Moomins, we are taking the very best Finnishness to the international markets.
